So last night, my family finally celebrated Christmas. Thank god, because I was about to have some sort of mental break down if I had to wait another day to open up my presents. Yes, I am a five year old at heart.
Anyway, to my surprise, I was gifted Scott Schuman's 'The Sartorialist' from my grandpa. Now, you may think that getting your granddaughter, who works in fashion, a book on style wouldn't be that big of a surprise to her, but you don't know my grandpa. Most years, I'm used to receiving presents more along the lines of coin sorters, travel kits and other extremely random things. This year, my brother received a flashlight, my mom got a multi-slicing knife (?) and my dad got a Roots murse. So ya, my book, which underneath the wrapping paper, was kept in perfect condition thanks to the ziplock bag it was incased in, was the biggest surprise of... the decade?? Oh gramps, I love ya! And so thankful for this wonderful gift, thank you thank you thank you!
I took a few snaps of some of my favourite fashion people and shots in the book. First up, Holli Rogers of Net-a-Porter, and Taylor Tomasi of Marie Claire - possibly the two nicest and coolest Texans in fashion. I'm in love with his shot of Mila Jovovich, she looks so delicate and feminine - absolutely perfect. Also in love with Giovanna's outfits and Scott's cuter than cute little daughter, what a star!
Aaah ! You've just made me grab my own book (got it months ago). I've never noticed the Scott's daughter, so cute !
ReplyDeleteI love the girl in the Paris section ("after the show") with the jeans, and electric blue jacket. And the shot of Lou Doillon...OMG love her style. Ooo yeah, I'm a real fanatic Parisian !
See U and have a perfect year !
Oh yes! That is such a great outfit. I forget her name, but she is amazing. If I can find the feature I recently read on her I will send to you x
