Chloe & Kate

Good outfit, Chloe, as always - clearly we share the same appreciation for midriff cleavage and denim. Oh hey Kate, you are so beautiful I just had to throw in this pic too, for no other reason than you being so damn beautiful.

Country Folk

For some reason this shoot makes me think of The Craft - you know, that scene in the country side with all the butterflies? Yea, that one. Except less gothy and more hippie-folksy. Its a Monday and I could really do with float in a petal-filled bath/pool/river somewhere, couldn't you?

Its A Girly Girl Thing

Last night I spoke to a friend over the phone who is currently on the verge of a nervous break down that has been brought on by the "androgynous" trend. "All the chicks are dressing like boys!" he said. Well, yes, its true. Girls dressing like boys, boys dressing like girls - it's pretty major and has been for a while. Oh hay AW11, you also say it's not going away any time soon. Maybe it's because I'm built more like a Marilyn, rather than a 12 year old boy, but WHAT is so wrong with dressing like a lady/woman/female? I bought a dress at the D&G samples sale yesterday that my friend tried to talk me out of because it made my boobs look "too big." Is that a bad thing I thought? Honey, thanks to Christina Hendricks, BIG BOOBS ARE BACK!!
So let's just take a minute and enjoy these pretty photos from Marie Claire. Lace? Chiffon? Cleavage? Short hemlines? Baby, I'm into it. Call me a Girly Girl, or what have you, I just can't pull off a head-to-toe man outfit and look hot. Oh, and AW11? I don't hate you or anything. Thank you for the major SEXy trend and Louis Vuitton show. You rock. Oh and fur, I love all the fur. xo

The Place To Be Seen

So last night, my family finally celebrated Christmas. Thank god, because I was about to have some sort of mental break down if I had to wait another day to open up my presents. Yes, I am a five year old at heart. Anyway, to my surprise, I was gifted Scott Schuman's 'The Sartorialist' from my grandpa. Now, you may think that getting your granddaughter, who works in fashion, a book on style wouldn't be that big of a surprise to her, but you don't know my grandpa. Most years, I'm used to receiving presents more along the lines of coin sorters, travel kits and other extremely random things. This year, my brother received a flashlight, my mom got a multi-slicing knife (?) and my dad got a Roots murse. So ya, my book, which underneath the wrapping paper, was kept in perfect condition thanks to the ziplock bag it was incased in, was the biggest surprise of... the decade?? Oh gramps, I love ya! And so thankful for this wonderful gift, thank you thank you thank you!
I took a few snaps of some of my favourite fashion people and shots in the book. First up, Holli Rogers of Net-a-Porter, and Taylor Tomasi of Marie Claire - possibly the two nicest and coolest Texans in fashion. I'm in love with his shot of Mila Jovovich, she looks so delicate and feminine - absolutely perfect. Also in love with Giovanna's outfits and Scott's cuter than cute little daughter, what a star!
