Happy Birthday shout-out goes to my little brother who turns 18 years old today! He is a very talented ballet dancer who is graduating from the National Ballet School of Canada in June and joining the National Ballet Company the next day! I baked him a lemon-blueberry surprise birthday cake and gave him a voodoo doll to celebrate! Happy Bday JC xoxoxo

Ladies Night

It's Official!

Yes Yes Y'all! The ticket has been booked. As of June 17th I am saying 'Peace Out Bitches!!' to Toronto and flying over to London to start my new life as a Chiswick house wife. Minus the ring, two children, nanny and double stroller. Basically, you can catch me laying in the park above, across from Turnham Green station, for the rest of the summer doing whatever I wanna do. YES!

Hou do you think you are?

I'm extremely excited to work on another creative shoot with one of my favourite Toronto-based fashion photographers, David Hou, this Monday. David and I worked together on my Flare Magazine competition submission this past spring and were able to produce the amazing photo above of Lauren wearing a Cloven dress by Kristin Poon. He recently collaborated with my friends Fancy and Emily on another creative that is gorgeous!! (also above). However, this monday I will be modeling my friend BK's amazing accessories for the shoot...so excited!

Birkin On A Budget

Being a reformed shopaholic, i now over-think every tempting purchase until I talk myself out of it. It's quite depressing, but after spotting this Birkin printed canvas tote by Toronto designer Hoi Bo at Delphic a couple weeks ago the darn thing just wouldn't leave my mind! I decided I HAD to have it and picked it up today. A good purchase decision I think, after all, who can resist a wannabe Birkin when you're on a budget?

I just graduated from fashion school and STILL can't figure out how to use an iron. Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, so very sad...

Crafts Day

My girl BK and I were finally able to fulfill our dreams of having a crafts day of fun together on Friday. We ended up creating the most amazing one-shoulder fringed necklaces with sculptural shoulder pieces made out of colourful zippers. The results are extremely avant-garde and we will soon be moving on to bracelets, head pieces, clutches and more! I love craft day!

Just a Lush

It's always fun opening up the weekend paper and seeing your face in the social pages (I guess). Actually, I didn't find this myself it was sent to me by a family friend. Anyhoo, in this clipping from the National Post you can see myself on the left and the amazing Jennifer Lee (former managing editor of Lush Magazine) in the center photo. We were at some sort of travel promo event with amazing food and open bar...plus gift bags filled with chocolate and pens...my fave! God bless open bar and free stationary.
